New Gun range (almost open) in Grand Prairie

#1

Post by MrPaul »

Hey everyone,

Just a heads up, we're planning to be open on January 11th 2011.

http://www.greatsouthwestgun.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We're a family of shooters who got the opportunity to take everything that was awesome about indoor ranges and gun stores and make it better. Everything that we hated about them we did away with. What we came up with was what (we hope :patriot: )everyone is looking for in a gun range and retail store.

If your in the area stop by and check us out! :cheers2:

Cool! Pricing looks very reasonable and you aren't too far from my abode in Grapevine. I'd like to see a copy of your range rules. What are your ammo restrictions, if any?

Hey tfrazier,

Thanks, we really tried to make our business plan fit a reasonable range rate. The same goes for guns and ammo as well. The only ammo restrictions we have are no armor piercing, incendiary, or tracer rounds.

All Magnums, HP's, Ball, etc. is all good to go.

Range Rules:

GREAT SOUTHWEST GUN RANGE RULES

PERSONS UNDER 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN
ON THE RANGE AT ALL TIMES.

ANYONE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DEBILITATING DRUGS IS NOT
PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES.

EAR AND EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE RANGE.

ALL GUNS ENTERING OR EXITING THE RANGE AREA MUST BE SECURED IN A
HOLSTER (CHL) OR UNLOADED IN A CASE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

LOAD AND UNLOAD YOUR GUN ONLY WITHIN THE SHOOTERS BOX. NEVER UNLOAD
OR LOAD YOUR GUN ANYWHERE ELSE.

NO ONE IS PERMITTED TO MOVE PAST THE FIRING LINE. IF SOMETHING IS
DROPPED PAST THE FIRING LINE INFORM A RANGE OFFICIAL.

IN THE EVENT OF A MALFUNCTION THAT THE SHOOTER IS UNABLE TO CLEAR,
PLEASE NOTIFY THE RANGE OFFICIAL. DO NOT LEAVE THE SHOOTING AREA WITH A
LOADED GUN.

NO FOOD OR DRINK INSIDE DESIGNATED RANGE AREA.

ALL GUNS BEING MOVED BETWEEN LANES MUST BE UNLOADED, WITH THE ACTION
LOCKED AND THE CYLINDER OR MAGAZINE OUT.

NO STEEL CORE, STEEL JACKETED, ARMOR PIERCING (BULLETS THAT STICK TO A MAGNET),
TRACER, OR INCENDIARY AMMUNITION PERMITTED.

YOU MAY TAKE ONLY THE BRASS THAT YOU SHOOT. PLEASE SWEEP ALL OTHER BRASS
PAST THE FIRING LINE UNDER THE COUNTER OR INTO THE DESIGNATED BARREL.

Hope to see you soon! :cheers2:

MrPaul, opening and operating a gun range is a true labor of love. You have my gratitude for making the shooting sports to even more accessible to DFW residents! :patriot:

So it's free and open 24/7? j/k

I plan to be there often. It's close enough to work to go shoot at lunch. Great to see something nearby.
