Range Fees?
Just curious what others are paying…
What do you pay, for what type. Indoor or out?
How much? membership/trip
How much time?
Hrs of operation?
Rentals?
24hr options?
Are you in a community market or metro?
how far out of town?

I belong to a club that charges $90 a year for a family. Shoot whenever you want, as much as you want, during daylight hours. Outdoors with covered benches. Miminal amenities.

Re: Range Fees?
I belong to a club taht charges $100 per year. They have multiple ranges for rifle, pistol, full auto, and a separate shotgun facility with skeet, trap and sporting clays. Facilities are very nice with bathrooms, and a fridge stocked with drinks and snacks. You pay on the honor system into the money jar. There's a "club house" of sorts at both the rifle/pistol range, and at the shotgun range. Each is very nice. The shooting facilities are covered with cinder block tables and wood benches. There's even a steel silhouette range for rimfires. It's a really nice range, and I'm glad some friends talked me into it! www.midlandshooters.com I can take a visitor, so if anyone is ever through Midland/Odessa, look me up!

Outdoor range with a lifetime membership for a one-time fee of $10. $10/visit thereafter. Rifle range (50 & 100 yd. targets), pistol range (a variety of target distances from 3 - 25 yds.) & a shotgun range with launchers for sporting clays. Good, safety-conscious management with reasonable rules and no range Nazis.

Re: Range Fees?
I live in the wrong part of town, ASC charges $235 plus tax for one year membership. Non members can shoot for $10 a person plus $5 for each extra gun. Too much but close to where I live.
Re: Range Fees?
Try $300 per year!!!!
Living in Sealy doesn't leave me much choice, especially when calculating the gas it would cost to go to ASC, and they're expensive too, so it doesn't take many trips to make up for the distance. I'm about to inquire what it would cost to bring in truckloads of dirt to build a berm of my own. It's probably less than $300.

I pay $75 per year. My CHL teacher runs a 'members only' range. Only CHL holders and their immediate family are allowed.

Re: Range Fees?
My regular range is Lone Star Gun Range in Lockhart. Yearly membership is $65/year. You can also pay per-visit for $12/day. It's an outdoor range, with a 100yd rifle range and two 25yd pistol ranges, with target boards at varying distances from the firing line. You can move and shoot on one of the pistol ranges, provided that it's not too crowded and there's not a security/chl/training class going on there.

Great place. I've been going there for a little over a year now. My membership is up this month and I'll definitely be renewing.

Re: Range Fees?
As stated above, at Bracken Range it's $3.50 per gun someone has to pay $3.50 for the targets. This is just bench shooting. They do have a CHL type range that is first-come, first-served that is the same price but it is only for one group at a time.
Another range on the NW side of town is a place called Bullethole. You have to pay an initial member fee of $8.50 and then it's $3.50 a day after that. This is for unlimited guns and they do have rentals as well. However, it is pretty much bench shooting as well. They have a plate range that costs extra but is almost always taken by some sort of shooting sports competition when I go.
I haven't tried any of the other ranges here but I haven't seen any that were cheaper than any of these two.
