Gibson's is on Lawson Road north of IH20 and south of US80. Directly across Lawson from Devil's Bowl Speedway. Seven, fifteen and twenty-five yard pistol and one and two hundred yard rifle ranges. IIRC it costs $6 to join and $10 per session. I shoot there mainly to get 200-yard zeroes.

Great range. But watch out for the older gal that sometimes works there. She definately wears the pants! However, this is a great range, I love to shoot there, and fmj's are allowed.

So what would we be looking out for? I have no complaints with either. They are both great people, they have owned the place for over 20 years. Very friendly

Only went there the one time for a THR meet-and-shoot.

The lady behind the counter re-defined "crotchety". Did not seem to care one whit about new customers. Ignored us a while, grumbled at us when we expressed an interest to shoot, furrowed her brow and grumbled some more.

Tried her best to drive us off. We shot for a while, violated no rules, did not get barked at by the RO, but could not get past the reception and have not returned since (over a year).

Awful long drive for a what we got. Guess I'll go back if it's the only place left.

Orion, you got the usual treatment. Those owners are YANKEES and live down to the reputation. Hope you found a more cordial place to shoot.

I live less than two miles from this place and go there occassionally. Everything said here is true, the people there could truly care less about whether you shoot there or not. Convenience is the only reason I go.
