If you got a CHL to put you one step closer to an encounter where you might get to shoot someone, you got a CHL for the wrong reason. But, I hold those of us that hold a CHL to a higher standard when it comes to learning about an incident like this.
Let us not pump our collective fists in the air when someone has to do the unthinkable.
The path to this encounter was obviously a long time coming... It is a sad thing that the young man felt he was so deserving that he felt he needed to be in this mans home with complete disregard for the homeowners rights and/or the law... Had he known there were consequences prior to this encounter he may have been the "good boy" his mother portrayed him to be... I bet (as usual) he was "Just getting his life on track!"
My prayers go out to the the homeowner for what he will have to endure because of this young mans actions. I only hope the families of both parties can find peace. This was senseless and completely unnecessary!
