Re: Carry in Texas Renaissance Festival
As of Tonight they still heve the 51% signs up, they are improper, Terre Albert is at fault for this. He is the Manager for TRF, he came to us from SHRP( where its illegal to have firearm anyway). As Far as complaints being registered the people there wouldn't know what signage and TABC won't advise them of the 30:06. but so far no one has done a thing the signs are still there

TRF does not make 51% from on premise sales, and they do not make the prices of clothing or anything else that comes from the shops, the vendors do, the make a percentage from the gross sales of items from the shops. and the percentage is why they aren't 51%, if they didn't make that percentage then they would be 51%, TRF ownes all the beer boothes and both the "bars" within TRF, the food shops are vendors. TABC only considers the 2 bars as 51%

Scarborough is listed as a PRIVATE Club

nope it doesn't. all of scarborough is the club not premises as defined in the CHL law, all ya gotta do is look it up on the tabc website the whole festival is off limits to a carrying CHL

Re: Carry in Texas Renaissance Festival
yes Scarborough Ren Faire is posted, the faire is in a dry county so therefore to be able to consume adult beverages it falls under the laws as a private club that makes 51% from onsite consumption. I have several club stickers on my camera case so I can have a brew or 2. Also it is in the TABC Database as a 51% location

Re: Carry in Texas Renaissance Festival
yes you may carry a flintlock pistol, remove the flint, no powder and yep you can have it, wou might even be able to have the flint but lots of guys carry them in pirate garb, technically if I'm not mistaken its considered a non weapon as it is a curio, but hey I could be slowing smoke
