Re: September 2011 Applications
All righty now! Great for you guys! Wish I had been there to see each of your faces when your brain registered what you had taken out of the mailbox. I do not think I ever opened anything so fast! I remember thinking I was going to carefully open the envelope with a knife, but I just tore the heck out of it.

Re: September 2011 Applications
Yeah, but the tooth fairy might have left you a few bucks...lol. Updated to mailed today, and you thought they might have hand-delivered it to you?
Sorry, but you probably have another two or three days to go. The mail is funny. You can have a post office next door to where you live, and you can mail yourself something, and it might go through another postal facility 200 miles away because that is the facility that handles the mail for your facility. Fed Ex does the same thing. I ordered something from an education group in Scott, LA. You would think it would just shoot right across the line and straight to Tyler. Heck no, it had to go through Memphis first.

Re: September 2011 Applications
lol! I remember when the ball finally started rolling for me. Manufacture pending one day, manufacturing the next, and then mailed the next. Dang thing took four days after that to get to me. Lots of ups and downs as you go to the mailbox. "Is it there?" No. Dang! Do it all again the next day.wacolivin wrote:Woooo hooooo updated to "mail" this morning!!!!!!!

Re: September 2011 Applications
Said it before, and I will say it again...it will get to the point that you will feel weird only when you can not carry. After a short 4 months of having my CHL, I no longer think about carrying it, or walking by the police. I do get a little antsy when one pulls in/turns in behind me, but I did that before I got my license.Ttriguero wrote:Went to Wally world last night and like gvbill said it's a little weird at first.

I understand they ran out of the holographic stock used for the cards and there is a national backorder on it...it may be 30 to 60 days before they get any more in.

Re: September 2011 Applications
At this rate, you will be certifiable by the 29th...
It is a long wait for that first update, you might as well start prepping your mind for it.

Re: September 2011 Applications
I don't think that train probably even left the station until they received your prints. The seem kind of infamous for wanting all of the materials in hand prior to launching your process.
