Could it be? Our GOP is finally waking up?
Just saw this on Yahoo: Republicans in the Senate and House are expected to introduce a joint bill Friday that would limit the amount of ammunition that federal agencies are allowed to buy and stockpile over the next six months, the Washington Free Beacon reports. The bill, titled the Ammunition Man...

Re: DPS sent one of my students a letter.....
Thet never contacted me either. Makes me wonder how closely they check the class roster.

Re: DPS sent one of my students a letter.....
I had the same thing happen last year in January. It turns out, I had put the wrong year on the class date and it was true that I was not an instructor on the date on the CHL 100. I called Austin and explained the error and they were very helpful by allowing the incorrect forms process without any r...

Re: Project Veritas Exposing Lefts Hypocrisy
I guess I'm confused. They don't want a gun free sign in their yard but they send their kids to school with them posted prominently. Go figure.

Course Completion Form
I taught a class with 14 students last week. The classroom portion was completed over two evenings (4 1/2 hrs each night). Due to scheduling issues only 9 of the 14 have done the range portion. The other 5 want to do it later this month. The question is, do I wait until they all shoot and send in on...

Re: Revolver Portion
I had the same questions and concerns before taking the course in June. I borrowed a friend's Dan Wesson 357 ( I qualified with .38s). I drove to Red's Shooting range the first night I was there and did a practice round and easily qualified on the first try. The day we went to to the DPS range, I sh...

SB321
I teaching a class next week and wanted to talk about SB321 (Employer Parking Lot Carry). I know it takes effect on 1 September 2011 and that the current law applies until then but it seems like it should be ok to teach it now. Any reason not to?

Re: Anyone going to June 27-July 1 Class?
It is a little crowded but so far so good. At least the legal stuff is done.
I'm at the far left side of the room two tables back.

June 27 class anyone else get in?
I submitted my application on April 17 and got my class notification today for the June 27 class. That seemed like a fast turn around. I'll be driving down from Mineral Wells on Sunday (26th) if atone wants to car pool it.

Hornady LNL primer question
I finally got my LNL set up today and loaded my first batch of .40 S&W (165 gr bullet, 6.6 gr Autocomp). Overall the press works as advertised, not to difficult to set up and easy to use. I shot 50 rounds just to make sure and they all fired perfectly. The only issue I'm having is primers not se...

I guess they really didn't need my left thumb print after all - Fingerprints Approved 4/9/11. Just waiting on BG to be completed now.

Re: Inexperienced in Class
I think the OP makes a point but I'm a little hesitant to put to many more restrictions on our 2a. After all, you don't don't have to prove intelligence to vote but that might not a bad idea either. JMHO

Thanks for all the good info - I'm sure this will help him out. I am encouraging him to join our forum. He and I took our CHL class together in February and are waiting on plastic.

Cleaning a Tarus 24/7 pro ds
I recently gave my son a Tarus 24/7 Pro DS for his birthday. He took it to the range and fell in love with it. Now he wants to properly clean and lube it but can't find any videos on YouTube. Does anyone have any suggestions? I already explained that he should only use solvent on the barrel and a dr...
