Florida is very fast if you're able to schedule an appointment at one of their regional licensing offices. I was just in Florida for a couple weeks and went to their Miami regional office (after scheduling the appointment a couple weeks in advance). I realize not everyone has that option, but they will also accept applications by mail (not sure about how you deal with the prints, since I did the regional office)apostate wrote:Florida requires fingerprints. The logistics may be tricky, as I believe they want prints on their card for mail-ins.seamusTX wrote:Sorry. I did not know Pennsylvania changed the law.
Might still be time to get a Florida license. What other fallbacks are there?

New Hamster...Hampshire is an option. http://www.nh.gov/safety/divisions/nhsp ... ssp260.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Anyway, my appointment was on May 11th. My FL CW/F license was issued May 14th, mailed May 18th, and in my hands (in Texas) today, May 21st. All I needed for the appointment was $117, proof of acceptable firearms training (NRA course certificate copy), and ID. They handled the prints, application and photo at the regional office.
