Re: WalMart ammo

Not to defend Obama, but Hornady published a letter stating that 5% of their sales go to the government. I can also tell you that I have four close friends that never stocked up on ammo before Sandy Hook. They each have between 500 and 2000 rounds each now squirrelled away. There are 4000-ish rounds taken off the market in just a few weeks. And they continue to watch Cabellas and other online sellers for more. Multiply that by thousands upon thousands of gun owners and it is a run on the market. The good news is that after this this blows over a bit, and after spouses unhappy with the turn of the family budget towards ammo voice their concerns, there will be plenty to have. I skipped the gunshow this weekend knowing that the market would be crazy. I was told that ammo was readily available if you wanted to part with 200+% of pre Sandy Hook prices.

Heck as someone with a modest stockpile, I'll admit that I am buying (if I find it at normal, pre SH prices) just because there is some child like fear that if I can't get it I should be getting it. The political aura (which can be blamed on the WH some) and my four friends, and I guess myself are to blame.
