5/16/2011 - Pending Manufacture
5/18/2011 - Manufacturing
5/20/2011 - Mailed
5/25/2011 - Received - 91 days on DPS timeline, 100 door-to-door

Any suggestions for a good carry pistol? Ordered a Kimber Ultra RCP II about 2 months ago, can't wait another 2-4 months for it to show up.

Manufacturing according to the CHL hotline.
should have it in a week or two.
Am I the only February application remaining?

Today is day 60 for me.

I have to go get a certified records search from both the county clerk(misdemeanor) and the district clerk(felony), and then I mail it to the DPS.
Today is day 60 for me too.
I received a letter saying I needed to do this on Saturday.

Well, still no change in my online status (still on background check under review). I was told on Thursday that I would see my status change to reflect the clearing of my background check status, but it hasn't happened.

Anybody else from a February class still waiting for the status to go to manufacturing or mailed?

I'm still waiting.
I have to get the district and county clerks in my hometown to send a certified records check from 1995 to now.
I thought this is what the DPS is supposed to do.

I'm still waiting. Today is my official day 53 according to the DPS. I'm hoping to get a change in status before Friday.

My wife's was 1 day from manufacturing to mailed and 1 day in the mail. We are in D/FW.

Official day 47 and still no change to my status.
Hopefully by Friday.

I just spoke to a very friendly and informative fellow named Victor at the the CHL hotline.
He let me know that the 60 day countdown does not begin until all information is received, and that I am currently on day 43.
He also told me that my bg check has been with the tech for more than 2 weeks, and if there was any major problem with it I should have already been informed.
Having a confirmed timeline is going to make waiting a little easier... Hopefully.

Seems that a few applications have flown through there office, and others (like mine and yours) have gone rather slowly. I don't have anything on my background check, and my online status still says "background check: under review". But I am only at 38 days (recieved in Austin Feb 19). They still state on there website that they will do there best to get you a CHL within 60 days, but processing can take up to 180 days.

So I would just wait (easier said than done!!!) and try to relax a lil!! Trust me, I know it is not going to be easy!!

Alright, I guess I'll chill. My wife theorizes that mine has been delayed due to me calling. ???

I'm still waiting. I've called the past three Mondays to check status, today the guy told me that I was calling too much.
I only call because they provide better info over the phone. Calling once a week and speaking to somebody for less than 2 minutes isn't too much, is it?
