Re: HB 3639 - SB 1581
Read this Texas Campus Carry bill moving, but threats remain , then call Speaker Straus. We need this bill to pass. Thanks for that Aycock (R-54) and Darby (R-72) voted in favor of Patrick’s amendment (against campus carry). SB 1581 passed as is, (out of committee) 17-3. The bill now goes to the Ca...

Re: San Antonio kens 5 news story today
Notice how the reporter stuck in that the gunman was a CHL holder... although I researched the story and didn't find anything that supported that... Anyone else?

What alot of folks don't realize is that most private schools do recieve some money from the state in the form of a grant. Although it looks like that money might be going away because of cuts, I'd say they fall into the non opt out area as well!

Re: Online Status Check
Well, it looks like they are finally updating info on the web. I finally have the green and yellow bars up when I login to the chl website! Everything is green except my background check and concealed hand gun license. From what I've read on here, I should have it shortly now!

Re: Online Status Check
I probably shouldn't be getting frustrated, but my online status hasn't changed since I turned in my application online. I sent the rest of my paperwork in and mailed it certified mail/return receipt requested as suggested on this board and got my receipt that they had it in their hands two weeks ag...

Re: With HB750 or SB354...30.06 required to opt out?
Let's just go with HB 86 and we don't have to worry about the 30.06 signs! I am not a fan of private schools being able to opt out.

Some of us in the state need either HB86 or 1356 to pass so Private schools don't have a say in the action.

Re: Application ID
So, you guys think I can just leave that space blank and go ahead and send it in? I just don't want to have them return it because it needs it and be that much longer to get my license. I guess that I'll probably get a faster response sending it in than waiting for them to call me back! Thanks every...

Application ID
Hello all, I'm new to the forum. Took my class just this last Saturday. Filled out the online application that night and after inputing all of my payment info, the next screen said error. Now I know it went through because I got the famous barcode email and the money has been taken out of my account...
