Re: [Pre-paid legal service] vs CHL Protection Plan
IMHO, and someone please correct me it I'm wrong, but if you hit an innocent bystander you could be sued by them even if the shoot was no billed. IANAL

Re: Newbie question - conceal carry with no holster?
Why have it cocked if you have to cycle the action to chamber a round (and thus cock the hammer)? The whole concept seems ridiculous to me - *IF* I carried like that, I would never share that absurd information with a class full of eager students. With the hammer already cocked it was easier to cyc...

Newbie question - conceal carry with no holster?
I took my CHL course this weekend and I was surprised, or maybe shocked is a better word (I remember my eyes actually doing this :eek6 ), when someone asked the instructor how he carries and he mentioned rather nonchalantly that he never uses a holster when he conceal carries, he just uses a good be...

Re: Would anybody support a NCIC check for buying ammo?
That would be a negatory good buddy. You will NEVER be able to stop the criminal element from getting something they want. No law, act, wish, voodoo curse, incantation, or slight of hand will do it. They're probably getting the ammo from the same "street vendors" they get their guns and hi...

Re: So, you remember that vid of a DEA agent that shot himse
That's the first time I've seen that video and all I can say is :eek6 :eek6 :eek6 :eek6 Was he trying to release the slide when it fired? I think he was trying to re-holster. I also thought that I had heard he was originally suing over the release of the video because it made him look stupid and be...

Re: What's the Origin of Your User Name?
Libertas –noun: Latin for Liberty, also the Roman goddess of liberty, a personification of the political libertas that distinguished the free from the enslaved. America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Li...

Hey y’all, I’m new to the forum, been lurking for a little while, but now I’m sidling. Taking the CHL class this Saturday, weather permitting, and should be filing the paperwork shortly thereafter. Will keep you updated. Just recently started getting back into shooting, and as soon as I can start hi...
