Re: Apparently Grapevine is unaware of pre-emption
I saw this too and what he wasn't clear on was this was referring to Lake Grapevine not the city itself. An important thing to omit but it was and that caused some confusion.

Re: Got my new CHL with new address, what do I do with old o
I changed my address a while back and sent an email to DPS. The response was to destroy the old one. Original question: "My question is what to do with the old one. Should I destroy it or does it need to be mailed back to DPS?" Reply from DPS: You can destroy the old license. Darrell Custo...

Re: no guns or ammo
Our local Academy has now placed all the scarce ammo - 9mm, .40, .45, .223/5.56, and .22LR - at customer service desk with a strict one box per caliber per day restriction. Hopefully this stops the hoarding and reselling and leaves a bit of ammo for everyone. The Academy in Plano off 75 is doing th...

Re: My New Holster Store
I did notice your FAQ is verbatim from K&D Holsters on tight fit and pocket draw so you may want to change up the wording at least a bit so it isn't so obvious. When Kevin at K&D retired he sold me most of his holster patterns, templates, and equipment. He is a really nice guy and was very ...

Re: Iphone 4 to OS5 without host computer?
Shame on that Apple store! I can see AT&T not doing it, but Apple in Tulsa and Dallas (Northpark) have done backups and restores on my mom's and mother-in-laws iPhones. MIL got charged $30 for it though (Dallas) but my mom got it free (Tulsa). Go figure. I told my sister-in-law to take hers to A...

Re: Iphone 4 to OS5 without host computer?
Make sure if you go to AT&T they back up your data and restore it afterwards. Most of the time they will not and some stores just won't. Apple store is the way to go if you have important stuff that can't be replaced (pics, videos, etc).

Re: Whats average price for CHL renewal today?
If you are in the northeast Dallas area try the Texas Handgun Academy at: http://www.texashandgunacademy.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; $60 for a half day renewal. Very professional with small classes. This is where I went for my last two renewals. Both were...

Re: Pulled Over by DPS
Law enforcement agencies have long had the ability to write citations for slower vehicles failing to keep to the right or for impeding traffic. The new law does not affect that. And that is how my brother got busted. No posted signs, but he was not moving in the left lane (3 lanes both directions) ...

Re: High Noon Split Decision
I have a Split Decision, Bare Asset, and Down Under and none of them move on me in the way you mean. The clip on the SD and BA are really strong and the Down Under has straps. I wear the SD when I wear a dress belt and it does not spin and is very comfortable.

Re: Pulled Over by DPS
And that is why different speeds are well managed in Germany on the autobahn. Drive right is strictly enforced as it should be here. I don't know how many times on the Bush turnpike I have to move all the way to the right lane to pass the idiots who aren't even doing the speed limit (70). I really ...
