Make sure your pistol is not loaded. Double check it and then make sure again. Then watch Walker, Texas Ranger (or similar shows) on your television. Draw when you would be justified shooting. Then think about how you would explain it and justify it. We used to do this in the academy (way back) and actually have to write reports on the incident. It really is good training for cops in use of force judgment and report writing.

I agree that knowing where your shot hit is great but just having a program of shoot no shoot situations to practice getting your gun out and on target would be helpful.

I think it sounds like a great project! I would be happy to try it out. Might be a bit of a trip for SRVA and I. It would be a fun weekend vacation! Got any good B&B's in your area?
