Re: Texas CDL Question

Thanks for the replies yall. After searching around in the federal regulations and texas regulations and calling DPS I have found my answer. As of January of 2012 you must fill out an affadavit claiming what type of driver you are (explained in the links above). IntERstate versus intRAstate as well ...

Re: Texas CDL Question

According to this: http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration-licensing/cdl/faqs.aspx#question2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I am classified as an excepted intrastate driver. If i were to ever drive it across a state line (which may happen once in 3years), I'd be excepted inte...

Re: Texas CDL Question

I don't have the best memory of the process as my company at the time handled all that stuff but I don't recall receiving any sort of medical papers.

Texas CDL Question

Random question guys. I got my class B CDL (class BM license...how do you like that?) in october of 2009 so I could drive buses for school (passenger and airbrake endorsement). I was never told ANYTHING about medical cards etc. I drove buses for two years and never renewed or did anything with the l...

Re: What's your magazine/round ratio?

I keep 4-30 rnd mags loaded with 5.56 and i have 2x420-rnd cans of 5.56. I cant imagine I'd need even that much at home especially with all my pistols loaded.

It's sad that we all need to strap up before going to take the trash out but you can bet I do the same!

Re: CHL, Vehicle and Adult Beverage Question

With the definition of "intoxicated" not clearly defined in the same section as the stuff about carrying with alcohol, I don't want to leave it up to an officer having a bad day to smell the single beer I drank and ruin my life for carrying. If I am carrying and want to drink, I go back t...

Re: Traveling to Steamboat Springs. Checking with with y'all

Im up in Brighton (outside Denver) right now and flew with my carry weapon. In Denver it is ILLEGAL to open carry but outside city limits, carry away. I can't vouch for it causing mass hysteria though. I have seen NO gun busters signs yet where I've been (but that doesn't mean you won't) but they do...

Re: Don't touch me there!

I figure I'll always says is an insulin pump or something even though I don't have diabetes. Can't tell you how many times in academy my girlfriend has tried to lift my shirt at the 4:00 position to look at my jean size, forgetting what's under there! I guess it's that concealed that she forgets whi...

Re: First time checking firearm

You avoided a big mistake, not taking your weapon when bag check was free. But you still made a couple of errors. 1 no holster and 2 the card is not always white, on Delta is bright orange on AA it's kind of fluorescent pink.  ;-) Enjoy Denver. Don't eat the Rocky Mountain Oyster...

First time checking firearm

Howdy y'all, I flew from Houston Hobby to Denver DIA this weekend for 3 weeks of training for work. I wasn't going to bring my carry with me because I didn't have enough time to look up how to fly with it and my company prohibits carrying on their property and unfortunately the parking lot bill does...

Re: Gunsmith in Houston

Thanks for the replies guys, I've been out of town for work but have been reading the replies. I'm going to attempt to "steal" his gun for an afternoon to do it but that may not happen as its his EDC. Anyone have any idea what sort of price I'm looking at for install? Do most gunsmiths tak...
