Maybe I didn't read all that innuendo and what-if the same way as you Charles.

If Abbott ran against Perry in the primaries and I voted for Abbott, are you saying that the above statement would apply to me?
(I know it's likely Abbott would not run if Perry did, but just for discussion sake)
I feel like I missed something in all this what-if discussion.
I don't see how a primary vote for Abbott would equal a general election vote for any Democrat.

"False dichotomy" would also be my description of that argument.... Unless you have some inside baseball that says if Perry sees a serious primary challenger he would lose a GE even if he won the primary.

You've made a fairly harsh accusation. I'm struggling to understand the reasoning. :bigear:

anything wrong with using one of these free online fax services like myfax.com or faxzero.com?
I worry about what information they skim off your "free" fax.
My name, address, email and phone.... and subject matter...
Nothing is truly free.. Somebody is paying for the service... Think about it.

Governor Rick Perry

Dear Governor,

I'd like to thank you for your longstanding of support of Texans Second Amendment rights.
Gun owners all over Texas have been encouraged by Lt. Governor Dewhurst's suggestion
that you may include personal protection bills in this special session. I write to you today
to ask that you add the following three 2A-related items to the 2013 special session call list.

I've also had the opportunity to read a letter that Mr. Charles Cotton sent to you today
regarding these same three pieces of legislation and wish to express my concurrence with
Mr. Cotton's views.

1) Comprehensive campus-carry. Bills such as HB 972 were held up during the regular
session by political party posturing. Our college professors, staff, and adult students
deserve the right to self defense. Anyone who believes that crazies and criminals are at all
deterred by our current gun-free school policies does not deserve to be a teacher of
anyone or anything.

2) Elimination of virtually all remaining off-limits areas for Texas concealed handgun
licensees (HB3218). Texas CHL holders have an exemplary 18-year track record. We have
proven ourselves worthy of HB3218.

3) Prohibition on the use of 30.06 signs by governmental entities and agencies (HB508). Too
many government entities attempt to blatantly intimidate CHL holders by posting 30.06
signs on property that is owned by taxpayers. It's time we penalize such acts.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Thank you again for your continued support of the Second Amendment.
