Now the big question.........do I hunt Idaho or New Mexico now?
Please write a letter to Gov. Martinez (NM) and suggest that she do some marketing to disenfranchised CO hunters.
Similar to the marketing Gov Perry is doing in CO and NY.

Maybe offer a trade-in or discount on a NM hunting permit when you bring in your CO permit?

I can drive to NM. ID is lovely, but far.

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills

Magpul
"We could choose to stay in a state that wants our jobs and revenue, but not our products, and lose half the jobs we are fighting to save, or potentially the entire business, when our customers stop buying," said Magpul CEO Doug Smith. "Or, we can take the company and those 600 jobs out of Colorado to continue our growth and the growth of American manufacturing in a state that shares our values. This is not really a choice."

Write to the Governor, maybe you'll help change his mind.

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills

Please take a minute and write Governor Hickenlooper. IMO, he seems to be on the fence.
A VETO from a Democrat Governor might actually help stop the insanity.

CO State Web Site: http://www.colorado.gov/govhdir/request ... n-leg.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My letter to him today:
Dear Governor Hickenlooper,
It appears likely that you will soon be asked to put your signature on HB 1224, HB 1226, HB 1228 and HB 1229. I ask you to VETO these bills.

These bills clearly infringe on the protections enumerated in the US Constitution, which you have sworn to uphold, and they will do nothing to reduce crime. These laws would only serve to make otherwise honest, law-abiding citizens into criminals. I give you the example of Mr. Nathan Haddad, a NY resident and military veteran now facing 35 years in prison for possession of 30-round magazines. Murderers spend less time in prison. It's a travesty.

Ten years of a nationwide "Assault Weapons Ban" have demonstrated conclusively that such laws have no effect on crime. If you sign these bills into law I will forever remember you as the Colorado Governor that was so politically overrun by California progressives that YOU condoned these feel-good, do-nothing infringements on Coloradoans' Natural Rights.

Are you a politician afraid of the next election, or will you uphold the oath you gave to all Coloradoans? Are you a leader or a lemming?

Sincerely,
RGB

Re: Colorado House passes 4 gun control bills

There's nothing in the proposed laws that would affect me immediately... but I've written to Governor Hickenlooper and challenged him to man-up. It's all just so sad. Really, sad.
