Re: Texas travel thru Ok. and Ark.
I don't know why this hasn't gained any traction on this forum, but the single most useful tool I've found for traveling with a concealed handgun is: http://apps.carryconcealed.net/packngo/ . Anybody who carries concealed and travels ought to have this one bookmarked. It not only shows you state re...

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
My TDI just arrived and I'm extremely pleased by the lightweight form factor, ease of deployment & peace of mind as a backup tool.

Re: thoughts on being disarmed
This is marginally off topic so I hope i won't be flamed....for those of you who were disarmed, were you also carrying a knife? If so, was the knife also removed off your person by the LEO for the duration of the encounter? It's not a big deal, but I was just curious as to anyone's experiences being...

Re: CHL Incident- North Dallas PD- Great Guys
He asked if I was carrying anything else, to which I responded calmly that I have a tactical knife on a clip in my other front pocket. He politely asked me to return my hands to my car and he pulled it from my pocket and placed it next to my gun on the hood of my car. Internetguy, may I ask what ki...

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
I just went ahead and ordered the smaller blade KA-BAR TDI LE knife. I wanted the larger TDI knife but decided to go with the smaller blade due to fear of potential illegal/perception if searched by LEO. Has anyone else had this concern? Has anyone else had an LEO encounter while carrying the TDI an...

Re: Carry No More
i can't speak for the OP, but he has a point. What are the odds of the CHL being attacked outside the home, vs. the CHL running afoul of the law just by carrying? If I was betting, I'd bet on the latter. I often feel the way the OP does...I try to carry as often as I can, but the statistical odds (...

Re: Bad advise from Granbury PD......
My best friend was stopped a couple of days ago in Granbury. He DOES NOT have his CHL yet. When the LEO approached the truck, windows down, dome light on, JB's left arm/hand was located on the open window with hand out the window, right hand on the steering wheel. LEO asked for proper ID and such. ...

Re: Armed robbery at work near me
I do not yet have my CHL, but I like to think that when I get one, and I carry my mouse gun, and if it was unavoidable that I was out late in a garage, I would like to THINK that I'd have my hand on my piece in my pocket while walking through the garage...
