Does it get hot in the summer? I'd be more inclined to carry a pocket gun in the real hot summer with light clothes on. Seems like that band up that high would be hotter...but I guess like a lot of things might not know until you try it.CainA wrote:Yep agreed. In that picture the pistol is 'jammed' way down deep, in reality you leave more of the grip exposed. It works well when you're in shorts and t-shirt summer time mode, put the cumberbund on and go.jamisjockey wrote:
Looking at the picture, its hard to imagine how you get a good solid grip on the gun before drawing. Not enough of the grip seems to be exposed for it to work well. IMHO anyways.

Re: IWB Carry Position
Also in general to the original topic of carry position. I like the idea of a 1-2 o'clock appendix carry, it seems to me I have more "control" over my firearm. Whereas at 4-9 o'clock I have a percieved probably irrational fear that the gun is more easily snatchable. The problem is that position seems the least comfortable, again, hoping MTAC will help, but I don't know....how do people make it work? Or is it just not that popular because of comfort and some just deal with it?

Re: IWB Carry Position
The loop or ring is a good idea to make the velcro more adjustable I think. I'm still thinking modding another holster might be good if it doesn't fit in the traditional clips for me.

Re: IWB Carry Position
Good ideas!
When I tried with a cheap IWB holster I couldn't find anything comfortable. I'm hoping the MTAC I ordered will fill the bill. But even as mentioned here it could probably be easily modified in a reversible way to use either clips or a belly band. Any ideas on what would be the most ideal material for a thin comfortable belly band? I was even thinking some thin buckskin might be nice....
