Actually, they may be more resistant than you think. I have one of those "breadboxes" as you call them, and while it didn't have a handgun in it, it did have my wallet, and it did prevent the theft. The box's coating was scarred up, and the cable had some crimps (looked like he tried to cut it with a scissors), but the box, cable and wallet were all still present when I came back to the car.AEA wrote:In my opinion, those boxes with the little cable that goes around your seat brackets is nothing more than a breadbox and gives false security. I suppose that if the thief had a cable cutter or lineman's pliers he may have been able to get the box, but I suspect that they are harder to get into than you think they are.
