Re: Oct 2010 applications

Well I called in for mine after it had been 3 weeks and my fingerprints still had not cleared. It still took almost two more weeks before my processing got any progress.

The only thing the rep could tell me was "It has been sent to a technician for review" It took me 55 days maibox to mailbox.

So i think its more a combination of:

a) your personal background vs what the state has for your background, and if you need a technician to sort it out.

b) luck of the draw as far as if you get backlogged in the bottleneck of apps.

c) history of backgorund checks. I kid you not. Not even 2 days after buying my first pistol and after getting my first first check ever to buy a gun everything in my chl process cleared. It has also been said that if you have passed backgorund checks for other things like work related, purchased a handgun, or some other activity that you will already be on file as cleared and your app can go faster.

So it might actually be better to go buy a handgun and go through a check then to call chl offices. Your purchase and the federal clearing of you to buy the gun will become part of your records and more than likely be of better help to a tech trying to pass you as valid for a license.

anyways sorry for the rant.

goodluck.

Re: Oct 2010 applications

Hey hey...lucky you :grumble

lol

I am hoping to see an update soon. I didnt think to check on weekends. I guess with the volume of applicatants they might have to work weekends.

Honestly if waiting is due to more and more citizen tryng to excercise their rights and be safe and have options in bad situations then the wait is more than worth it. I like the idea of my fellow Texans and heck even fellow American citizens arming themselves against criminals.

So with humble patiences I wait for my license and :patriot: :txflag: salute my fellow patriots.

Re: Oct 2010 applications

Nice. I got a minituck already here and a keltec pf9 hard chrome on back order.

Have you tried your supertuck on yet? Is it easy to tuck your shirt in and be unnoticed.

I have a profession where i have to where busniess formal so that is why I got a tuck. Mini seems ok but not too much room for tucking. It can work just not super easy. You have to work at it.

Re: Oct 2010 applications

Aww gotcha

Yeah I did a lot of moving of the last few years when I was in college. I was worried about that while filling out the application. If they go and try to verify each address it is going to be hard as in school I would stay with different freinds and not on their leases. I would just crash at varius places many times. I always listed my grandparents address though on government docs so I am worried they will not be able to sort out the situation. fingers crossed they dont just send it back. :clapping:

Re: Oct 2010 applications

Been over a week on BCG and fingerprints in review

Anyone know if this is a bad thing?

If I am missing something or the fingerprints are not clear or something is basically rejected what does the status become?
