A better idea is a simple holster in a hidden spot within reach. I think doc540 had some photos of his rig.

Before I recieved my CHL I carried my handgun in my truck under a towel. It was quicker access for me. When I got my CHL and starting carrying concealed on my person I didn't even make it out of the driveway before I took it out of the holster and carried it the same way as before. Whether your within the law by carrying concealed on your person or not, I just wouldn't do it.
