Deputies have released video from a shooting they say was the result of road rage.
It happened around 1 o'clock Sunday on Highway 70 near English Street in Newport.
Deputies say the shooting was a result of road rage that started on the highway in the James City area of Craven County.
Investigators want to track down the driver of the vehicle, a female passenger, and a toddler.
Video obtained by the sheriff's office shows what happened just before the driver allegedly fired several rounds at the other vehicle. The suspect confronts the other driver, punching at one of them, before two people leap out and attack him. A woman comes to his aid with a handgun, handing it to the suspect, who then confronts his attackers. He then takes off with the woman, and a toddler.
Now deputies are looking for an ash or gray colored SUV. The Carteret County Sheriff's Office is urging the family wanted for questioning to call them.
If you know where this family is, call the Sheriffs Office at (252) 504-4800 or the Carteret County Communications Center at (252) 726-1911.

This is bad from beginning to end. I don't see one single good decision being made in this video.
