I was referencing the myth that Texas can, without any resistance from the Fed Govt, secede because we entered the union as a sovereign nation, so we can leave as one. There are people who legitimately believe this to be true, when it is not.

My point was that Texas does not need the US Governments permission to leave the union. Personally, I'm not sure whether the US Gubmint would try to stop Texas with force or not, but if the citizens of Texas decided to make the move, then I'm not sure it would practically matter much whether it was legal or not. Call me cynical, but I don't think our Federal gubmint much cares about the laws that are supposed to restrict their actions.

Now, I'm all for starting the revolutionary fight all over again... I am talking the Texas revolution. Speaking of myths... I wish the myth of Texas' ability to secede was true. I'd be all over a legit political movement to do so.
