Re: Why so may fireams in .40

Sorry, didn't mean to start a caliber war but glad I did with all the great discussion on personal preferences it is interesting to say the least. But, again, and let's just look at 9mm for a minute, what about the 9mm with the Winchester Ranger (old talon) type of round vs say a .40 or .45 in just hollow point. Wouldn't that make a difference in our caliber war discussions? :boxing "LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE" "rlol" Sorry, just couldn't help myself?

Re: Why so may fireams in .40

TAM, I understand we're your coming from now. I like the 45 myself and the wife will shoot nothing other than the 9mm so that is why I got her the Winchester Ranger 127 +p to hopefully make up for the difference. Plus might add she is a very good shot, she grew up on a farm in west texas and did alot of hunting with the brothers, so just want to make sure she'll be fine on herself. So, again thanks for your input. Also, thanks for the heads up on the 1911 tool for my Kimber.

Re: Why so may fireams in .40

gigago4. Do you think on the qualifying; was it the grip size on the 21sf or the .45 caliber that made a difference?
Do you think your feeling towards the .40 is mirrored by others within the dept and other department's or agencies due to it being .40?

Why so may fireams in .40

Just curious, I find a lot of folks on this board with 40 caliber's, just curious what is the attraction. Shot it personally and would rather shoot a .45 so just curious what the thought process is for some of the .40 folks :???:
Maybe ignorance on my part just trying to find out, never know may go out and purchase one for the right reason? Of course, I guess you don't really need a reason for a new firearm, now do ya "rlol"
Thanks for any and all input.
