Yep, just like the 94. Maybe this was a shop gun, like the Academy special Browning .22lr pistol. I bought it thinking I would squirrel hunt with it, but ultimately decided my eyes are not good enough and just put a scope on my S&W 22A. I did kill some cans and steel plates with it.
Basically built on the same frame as the small frame Taurus. The original spring on it was way to hard for accurate DA shots, so I did a fairly common spring swap using the Wolff spring kit for the 85 revolver. The result is a really smooth DA trigger which will let you shoot DA with accuracy. The trade off is that going full bandito will sometimes get you a light strike and an FTF. Cycle the round back through slower and you'll get the shot. Shoot at 1rd/sec and you'll get every shot (or as good as anyone gets from the cheap Bucket o bullets .22lr). Going to look for the original spring tonight.
I'll be in Fredricksburg on Saturday, hunting am/pm, but could meet Austin/SA folks in Blanco or something mid day or Sunday off 290 in Austin.

Taurus 972 .22lr revolver
I've got a Taurus 972 9-shot .22LR revolver that I don't shoot much anymore. Looking to sell with two speed loaders.
This is not the larger Taurus Tracker. This is about the size of a j-frame but with a 5" barrel. Very accurate and lots of fun.
Face to face - Houston or SA/Fredricksburg (this weekend - 1/5-1/6). $300 OBO.
