A Glock 17 was my first Handgun. I've found that making sure you have a proper grip really makes all the difference in the world (For me, the most important is making sure the webbing of your hand is as snugged up to the top of the grip as comfortable). Glock's aren't terribly hard guns to shoot in IMHO - just remember that if you haven't used a striker fired pistol without an external safety, that keeping your finger indexed and OUT of the trigger guard until you are on target is very very VERY VERY important (As it should be with any gun!). I think the notch for the takedown lever on the Glock is in the perfect place to index every time - thats good muscle memory to develop.
