I've heard on the internet that Snopes is wrong sometimes, but I haven't checked Snopes to see if they have an entry on themselves.Skiprr wrote:And you believe Snopes irrecoverably why?ITRY2FLY wrote:I'm the kind of person that Snopes checks just about every rumor or internet fad I come across. Re: Cannot carry extra magazines??
AFAIK, CA doesn't have any restrictions, other than the 10-round magazine capacity limit, but I'm not nearly as well as versed in CA law as I'd like to be.RPB wrote:I'd think the only States who wouldn't allow a spare mag are the ones who "know" you only "need" 6 or 10 bullets to stop 6 or 10 gangstahs

Re: Cannot carry extra magazines??
Huh... I didn't know that... And if I ever drive out to visit the folks in CA again, I'll likely be carrying right up to the CA border so you may've just saved me a lot of trouble!74novaman wrote:Yep. No mag or gun limits in Texas.
I normally carry 1 spare mag.....but I've been known to carry 2 or even a spare mag and an extra gun.
Now, if you travel to New Mexico, you're only allowed to carry one gun (but still no mag restrictions).
So just because that's Texas law, be sure to research other states laws if you're going to travel.
Back on topic (sorta), are there any states that do limit the number of spare magazines/clips/bullets you can carry?
