I was thinking about this and realized I was looking at it from my viewpoint, not from the viewpoint of someone who was carrying for the first time.
Weren't you glad that you at least had options if it continued to deteriorate! I remember facing bad situations in the seventies and eighties when no-one had CHL's. It is a different situation unarmed . . .
