Re: 15 year old in NM shoots 5 - here we go again
When it comes to most video games and movies, isn't it the parents that buy the games for their kids? Aren't the parents in charge of what their kids are allowed to do and watch? Aren't the parents responsible for their children? I know that parents can't control all things that their kids do. I kno...

Re: Need some help with some research
I appreciate it, and I admit that several of the people may not change their views, but they are not the ones that I am going to be aiming for. I am aiming for those that are on the fence, uneducated or misinformed. Among that list includes a DA, a dozen or so Soldiers, some Airmen, a couple of Sail...

Need some help with some research
Hey all, Over the past few weeks I have been having nearly nonstop conversations with many family members, coworkers, facebook people etc.... about the issues surounding gun control. I have used much of the information on this forum to help many of them understand everything from "assault rifle...

Re: Looking For A Precision Rifle Class
A simple and fun way to learn better marksmanship would be an Appleseed course. Most of them reccomend .22LR due to the price of ammo, but they allow AR-15s, Mosins, Garands etc. I attended one a few weeks ago and ended up learning ALOT (part of which included the fact that sometimes your sights can...

Re: The Wilderness Magazine / Speedloader Pouches
I have one of the single stack mag pouches, and it is awesome!! I would highly recommend you to get one for just about any purpose. I have the horizontal one to toss on my shoulder strap for my camping bag/belt and it holds the mag extremely secure.

Re: WTB Moss500 or Rem870 for HD
I ended up buying a Maverick 88 as well, but I must be the odd man out because I kept having issues with the forearm breaking on me (the action rod is pinned to the plastic forearm). So...... I turned it into a project gun. I bought a 500 bolt and action assembly with two action bars and drilled out...

Re: looking for a barrel...
Thanks, and you might be right that it was a dedicated 22LR. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

looking for a barrel...
I am currently looking at creating an extremely light weight AR-15 for a friend of mine and she wants it as light as possible. I already got her to pick up a carbon fiber lower to help cut down on weight but what I am currently having issues finding is a light weight barrel that can be used for long...

Re: Since I can't carry on campus...
Look at the kimber pepper blaster (several MPs here like the fact that it is shaped like a pistol). You could carry this on a belt too (there is a carry pouch that they have for sale) http://store.kimberamerica.com/Products/tabid/67/CategoryID/21/Default.aspx As for knife length...I did some checkin...

Re: Since I can't carry on campus...
Most of the time I am unable to carry (I'm active duty on Fort Bliss, hence no carry), so I generally carry a good fixed blade knife with a minimum blade length of 3 inches. Combine that with some basic self defense classes :boxing (most colleges offer something along those lines, even some martial ...

Lead 45 ACP help
I started casting my own recently, and so far so good on the casting. But when I went to load them, I realized that I don't have any load data for a 230gr lead truncated cone in 45 ACP. I am currently using HP-38 for my fmj 9mm luger and 45 acp and I would like to know if I could use that for the le...
