Re: motorcycle and carrying
For years I carried a 649 in a Galco "Cop" ankle holster inside the edge of my boot. Just recently changed to the LCR for weight. Not a problem at all.

Re: CHL shows up in background check
I was under the assumption it was impossible to find out unless the information was requested by law enforcement. However since my employer gave me a week off to attend instructor classes in Georgetown this year they probably know I have a CHL. Not all employers see it as a bad thing, it might even ...

Re: The enemy within
This isn't a question of if you should carry, it's a matter of responsibility to carry. Remember as a licensed CHL holder you also represent all CHL holders. What good is a license in your pocket if that once in a lifetime need to defend yourself arises. It's not where your going, it's what's along ...

Re: 1911 US-made vs. foreign-made
I can only speak for the ones I own and shoot regularly, but I have several with dancing ponies on them and can't remember the last time one of them jammed. I really like the New Agent for conceal carry, light weight and very thin. The lack of sights makes it smooth in and out. Not to mention I try ...

Re: Any P08 fans here?
Hank truer words have not been spoken. It seems like every Luger has some story when the truth is most of them were dumped in piles when surrendered and picked out of the piles later. I have heard they dumped the magazines in one pile and the pistols in another explaining why so few have the matchin...

Re: Any P08 fans here?
Very nice old Ithaca Annoyed Man. Mine was purchased by my father via Kleins Sporting Goods mail order. I still have the original receipt for the purchase. Note they call it a colt but the serial number is correct.

Re: Any P08 fans here?
If I remember correctly there was a .45acp version that is very rare. I'm not sure if the location of the two I know about is known but I'll bet they are. They were known as Aberman and the Norton, Aberman I think had the serial number 2 on the side plate and the number 21 on the magazine while Nor...

Re: Any P08 fans here?
I would really like to get a hold of a P08 myself. I hear they feel wonderful to hold and fire. I see them quite a bit at local gunshows, but they tend to run between $500 to $700 dollars. I would rather put that money to an AK or AR, or more magazines and ammo... If you find any of those 500-700 d...

Re: Any P08 fans here?
for me they are as timeless as a 1911, a ppk or a high power. How true that is. I remember reading one time that the Luger was the most recognizable gun ever but I think that's an old survey. I'm sure now it's a Glock, Beretta 92 or the greatest gun ever made the 1911. :) A little 1944 that has bee...

Any P08 fans here?
I have a couple of P08's and still take one to the range most of the time ( a 1916 DWM with all matching parts but refinished). But I have a couple that I am pretty proud of. Here is a little 1937 that I have that was captured in Italy in 1945. I purchased the gun from the son of the veteran that br...

Very nice looking old gun. It seems some of the hand craftsmanship of those years has been lost.

Try locating a US based Proxy and try bouncing everything through that. It sounds as if your hitting some sort of filter.

Re: A few questions about some snubbies
I'm a huge S&W fan with more then just a couple of them. I carried a 649 for years but wanted something lighter and considered the 642 when the nolock version came out. I actually found a vendor at a show that had both an LCR and a nolock 642 so I could hold and compare both. In the end I walked...
