Re: Anyone been to the Frontsight training

I never knew certain levels of membership also included home lots! Interesting... :???: That was actually a big part of the law suit against them. They never did develop them, not sure if they are ever going too. I would have sued them as well if I had paid $200,000 for a membership and they never ...

Re: Anyone been to the Frontsight training

They do require the instructors to teach their exact curriculum. Pretty much reading exactly from a script. But they do change their curriculum all the time. If an instructor or student presents something different that is better suited for a certain purpose then they change their curriculum. I have...

Re: New Trunk gun

Here is one of my wife shooting it. Getting a cheek weld when putting a scope on one is pretty much not possible, but in reality those stocks are made for irons. But for a plinking gun it works just fine.

Re: ffl or not?

He will regret it once he gets busted and becomes a felon and loses his right to even own a gun. It is okay to occasionally sell a gun person to person from a private collection. But doing what he is doing is going to get him in trouble. I would try and talk some sense into him if I were you. I had ...

Re: New Trunk gun

I put a Sightron big sky 1.25-5x on mine. It is prefect for it. It is a small light wieght scope and has a perfect power range for that caliber.

Re: ffl or not?

If he is buying a gun with the intention of reselling it, then yes that would be illegal as he would be considered a dealer.

I think a lot of people do that though. Could be bad for him if he got caught doing it.

Re: Ohhhh - a Gun Belt - Now I get it!!!!

I have been using the Liger gun belts for several years. I use them as everyday dress belts and all, been very happy with them. I can put a pistol, pistol double mag pouch two AR mag pouches and wear them for 4 day classes and been completely happy with them. Great piece of gear and so far 4 years, ...

Re: New PC planning time.

Got a secret for ya: Unless you're an insane audiophile/audio engineer/MIDI musician, a separate sound card is quite pointless. Hogs up a spot on your PCI slots and adds no significant value. When Windows Vista (and beyond) was built, there was a specific decision to remove DirectSound and DirectSo...

Re: Anyone been to the Frontsight training

Boy someone is trying to read way to far between the lines and is coming up with some interesting conclusions. To clarify so you don't have to try and read between the lines. I am a member of at least 10 to 12 other prominent gun forums. So yes, I can say all over the net because I spend a lot of ti...

Re: Anyone been to the Frontsight training

The thing that kills me the most about all these haters is why are you trying so hard to tear apart a gun organization whose purpose is to train and educated people about firearms. I thought your response was very useful and helpful -- up until you wrote this. Well sorry you took it bad, but what I...

Re: New PC planning time.

Just from your specs, 1000watt power supply is a bit over the top. In my personal PC right now, I have a quad core Intel, 8 gigs ram, 6 HDs, a 8800 GT video card, 2 cd drives, and I am running it with a 550 Watt Roswill power supply and have never had a problem. I am an IT manager at a bank and also...

Re: New Trunk gun

I have the same gun. Excellent choice. I carry mine all the time when I am out hiking. It is so light you hardly notice it hanging on your shoulder. Accuracy is not bad at all, I have killed a large number of bunnies with mine.

Re: DPMS AR Anybody know anything about these?

DPMS makes good stuff. I have used many of there parts for builds and have never had a problem with them. Their entry level guns are a great value and in reality will do what 90% of people need, most of us just want the bells and whistles. My favorite AR is just an entry level gun with no bells and ...

Re: Anyone been to the Frontsight training

I have taken over 30 classes from Front Sight, Handgun, rifle, precision rifle, their advanced tactic classes and have never once felt unsafe at any time, ever. I have never been muzzled with a gun while there. And I have taken classes where you work with teams in live fire scenarios. And that repor...
