My plastic finally showed up today, 42 days mailbox to mailbox. I took my class on 7/17 and mailed my paperwork on 7/19. I had to go home at lunch today to get my Para so I could take it in and have the ambi safety installed, so I checked the mail while I was there, and there it was. Since I was already at home, I went ahead and grabbed my little .380 (bought a Diamondback DB.380 this weekend at the gun show) and threw it in my pocket.

Unfortunately, the company I work at is owned by the french, and they have a no weapons policy anywhere on the property, and you have to go through a security gate to get to the parking lot. So I, along with 3 other people, am now parking outside of the gate on the grass between the fence and the street. It's not the end of the world, it just sucks that I have to now worry about getting my car stuck Mustangs and mud are not a good combination.

I figured it wouldnt be the same class, just thought I would ask.

Crackin5 - Just out of curiosity, where are you located? I took my class on 7/17 also, and just curious if we were in the same class (I know it's a big state, and it could have been anywhere). I'm in Baytown.

Status changed to Mailed this morning. Hopefully it shows up soon!

I checked this morning, and the BG check is complete, manufacturing pending, finally. Just in time too, as my Supertuck and gun belt arrived this morning! Now all I have to do is get another 1911 to fit my supertuck (I sold my RIA).

That's nice. You mailed yours a full week after I mailed mine, my fingerprints were approved 1 day before yours, and my background check is still under review. Gotta love an efficient system.

You don't need to register just click on Login for returning users and enter your DL#, SS#, and birthdate.

Fingerprints complete. Waiting on background check now. Having gone through 3 or 4 background checks in the last year or 2, one would think it would be a bit quicker.

TWIC took about a week for background check, fingerprint verification, and printing of my card, Port of Panama City took 1 day for background check and fingerprint verification, and gun shows run an instant background check. Seems SOME people have figured out how to run the system anyways.
