Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
I didn't read 60 pages to see if It was mentioned, but the Houston gun show (at the George R Brown convention center) and the Pasadena Gun Show (Pasadena convention center) have both been posted every time I've gone. Both buildings are owned by the city, and should not be posted. Last time I went to...

Re: Carry enough gun. Even at home.
My wife thinks I'm crazy because I am always armed. Most of the time, I carry my PF9 in a DeSantis pocket holster. I just had back surgery, so I'm off work for a month. As I type this, my 9 is sitting about a foot from me on the coffee table. Next to my bed, I keep my XD40SC in a cheap holster on th...

How crowded was the place? Did you have to wait to get a spot?

Re: Top Golf in Allen, Tx----Posted??
Not meaning to hijack the thread, but I've wondered what carry options there were for playing golf. I know I wouldn't want to put my EDC in my golf bag. While I don't have the best swing, I can only imagine that carrying OWB/IWB would either print during the swing or interfere. Guess this means I n...

Re: Kel Tec customer service experience...
Soprry to hear about your issues with the PF9. I bought mine quite a while ago, carry it in my pocket almost daily (sometimes with and sometimes without a holster), and have never had any issues with rust. I live on the coast in one of the most humid areas you can live in the state, if not the natio...

Re: "printing" of your concealed gun
I gave up worrying about printing. With my XD in the supertuck, it is not an issue, but on a day to day basis (when I have to go to work and do not want to fool with taking the holster off and putting it back on at the end of the day), I pocket carry my Keltec PF9. I do have a DeSantis Nemesis holst...

Re: Almost
I had a pretty funny situation similar to this happen to me. I was about 13-14 years old and was with my family at blockbuster. I was checking out the movies and a friend of mine comes in the store and sees me but I didn't see him. He thought it would be funny to sneak up on me from behind so be co...

Re: CHL picture
I look like a terrorist in my CHL pic, and yes, I'm being serious. I'm as American as they get, but in the pic, it doesnt appear as such. Oh well, its a good conversation piece. (I'm not stuffy about who knows I have a license and that I carry, I only associate with people I can trust).

Re: Almost
I guess I've been conditioned over the years to immediately assume that when grabbed from behind that it is someone playing a joke on me. Probably because I've never been attacked and the only times I've ever been grabbed from behind, it has been a joke. It never even causes an adrenaline rush. May...

Question about local high school track
There is a track at a local high school that is easily within walking distance from my house. About 10 or so years ago, my (then GF) wife and I use to run there at night. I would like to start that again, as treadmills are just no kind of replacement for actually getting outdoors and running. My que...

Re: Perry making a presidential run
ETA: I also take exception to him not signing the parking lot bill. Even thought it will still become law, he should be willing to take a stand on something as important as 2A rights. This to me is like voting "present". I agree, but if he is indeed planning on running, this is simply pos...

Re: AMC signage
It is actually a Cinemark theater, not an AMC. That is the only theater I go to, and I will only go on first showing in the mornings (I hate theaters, but my wife is a fanatic). I went there last weekend to watch the Hangover 2 (funny as all get out by the way), and didnt see any signs. I've always ...

Re: Home invasion advice
When my Jeep was broken into in Hayward CA, the local PD came with crime scene van and did the prints. All good advices on this board. That's interesting. when my truck was broken into, I asked the PD about doing prints, and was told that they do not print vehicles just for burglary. I forget the e...
