Re: Attempted Vehicle Entry

Just like to add M2c for thought.

Depending on your camera type and mostly on the software
on your DVR or NVS you can paint (mark the area of concern)
a line or an object (door handle) so anything can happen as long as that
object or line is not affected or crossed. This will eliminate most, probably not all, of your cries of wolf.

Systems are quite sophisticated now even for off the shelf hardware. The research before you buy can allow a good many bells and whistles. Unfortunately, the really neat analytics stuff will get pricy fast.

The camera motion that is mentioned actually works off the pixel display and is not
true motion detection. Use of a motion detector outside for an alarm contact
will become a constant constant (yes I meant to write that twice) source of irritation and
false alarms. It will make no difference how much you tape.

Just my opinion but it does come from experience, both personal and industry. :patriot:

Re: Attempted Vehicle Entry

I would never do this myself you understand but it is Texas and I have heard of a gentleman who had his car broken into
so many times he got a nice looking briefcase and put a big ole diamondback inside. Sure nuff got boke into again and still did not catch the purps but the fence at the end of the road was taken out as well.
So I heard.
