Texas in 29th Place!

We still have a a ways to go we are only in a 3 way tie for 29th place place on the Brady bunch hit list .Tied with Georgia and Vermont. Hopefully in 2009 we can move it down a notch. The very idea that states like Lousianna and Oklahoma beat us gives me heartburn. What can we change to move our place on the list a little higher.

GUNS AT WORK

Texas - There is no state law forcing employers or businesses to allow guns on their privately held property.
Passing the parking lot bill will do a lot to improve our standings with the Brady's

GUNS ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES

As mentioned in other threads recently We need to move forward with Gov. Perrys Suggestion that we allow CHL carry in our universitys. If we take it a step further and allow gun carry in our our schools we certainly be making positive steps to endear ourselves to the Bradys. Unfortunatly I think we are getting a little bit of a bum rap because they don't seem to acknowledge that we are allowed some limited carry on school property.

CHILD ACCESS PREVENTION - CAP
Are gun owners held accountable for leaving guns accessible to kids? Yes

State law holds gun owners responsible if they leave a gun easily accessible to a child under 17 years old and the child uses the gun to injure or threaten someone.
I think this will be the toughest to implement and I see no one actually working on this to get it changed. I think the Bradys are being unreasonablr in getting this one changed.

We deserve to be #50 and need to work to achieve this #29 just isn't good enough!
