Re: The Arms Room, League City

My understanding is the new store will go live this weekend. ( July 9-10-11 timeframe )

The range itself will go live shortly thereafter ( still installing hardware ). It's indoors ( read that Air Conditioned, mosquito free
and who cares if it's raining ? ) and I believe they plan on having rental weapons ( even some Class III stuff ) for folks to shoot with.

The membership prices might seem a bit steep, but there are some benefits to each of the membership types. Remember the
high cost is the first year only. After wards, I think they drop to $250 / year for all plans. I'll try and post the plan details tonight.

5% discounts on the first two plans, 10% on the elite one. No wait range times, members only range times, rentals, etc. etc.
Think the elite one waives transfer fees and a few other items. Once I get home I will find my documentation describing the
plans in detail and let you know. I picked up an elite membership for a few reasons: ( even though I have an active Texas City
membership @ $150 / year as well )

1) Had this been in place already it would have saved me about $2k in the past year or so alone on the purchases I've made.
2) They are planning on carrying reloading gear / components so the 10% discount is just that much more attractive.
3) They'll be open on the days the Texas City range isn't. . . . . and did I mention the lack of mosquitoes ? lol

I had a membership to the PSC range but the rain / mud out there really limits the shooting for me. You almost need waders
to set up targets on the benchrest range. I sorely miss the distances the range provided, but the mud would absolutely destroy
any footwear you had on unless you were wearing knee high rubber boots. . . lol not to mention the interior of my car.
