Launch criteria generally consists of a "preponderance of evidence" as opposed to "100%" certainty, and this mission was no different IMO. Most of the time it's a dry hole, but from time to time you score a jack pot.And I just don't think the CO would have issued a "go" order unless he was 100% sure about the target.

1. Verification of identification.If it was so important to get OBL's body, why did they dump it in the ocean?
2. Photographic evidence of death.
3. Video evidence of death.
4. Biological evidence of identification through DNA testing.
They dumped the body because they no longer needed it for identification purposes, and to deny the ability for any grave to serve as a focal point and shrine to the madness and evil that UBL embodied.
I am willing to bet that in the near future, we will see two things released:
1. Pictures of the remains to prove he is dead.
- Along the lines of Uday, Qusay, Saddam, and Zarqawi.
2. Video showing the burial at sea.
-Preparation of the remains, and internment in the Arabian ocean in accordance with Islamic practices.
