Good point! IF someone knew what they didn't know, they'd know to go in search of that missing information and might eventually stumble upon this "sticky"...within a larger forum.

I suggest that there are many who don't know of the "sign" topic on the "New to CHL" forum. Otherwise, the sign discussions wouldn't go on for pages - week after week.

You make a valid point. When I first joined the forum, I was immediately drawn to the "New to CHL" subforum and happened to remember the sticky and thinking that was a great idea and a great place to put it. I'm sure it would do me good to go back and re-read that subforum again, now that I'm more comfortable with the whole thing.

Although it stuck in my case, I can see where it wouldn't necessarily do so for everyone. There is a ton (actually several tons) of information here and learning everything is a particularly daunting for the beginner. Heck, I know I'm still learning a bunch every day.

Hey Pawpaw. I missed it. Did you get the "1" removed from your user name or did someone have to do that for your?

I noticed it by accident myself. I didn't even have to re-log in.

Afterwards, I checked my email & found a friendly note from the man himself. You can't beat service like that... and free, to boot!

I would gladly pay for membership to this forum. It is the best Texas CHL resource I know of.
