Re: LTC Renewal Time

Just wanted to give DPS kudos. I had a positive experience on my renewal. Used the on-line method to apply for renewal on July 3, 2019 and found the new license in my mailbox July 16. That was fast!!! They even used the new photo from my drivers lic. renewal. Nice to have the new card in my wallet.

Re: Renewal wait

FYI: I applied (online) for renewal on 7/3/2014 and the new license arrived today 7/27/20014. Just a straight forward renewal with no address change or anything. That was faster than I expected. Oh just noticed that the license was postmarked 7/22/2014 ... I was a few day without picking up my mail ...

Yes I have read all the statues from front to back, many, many times.
I like to say that the cause of all human suffering is broken agreements … the CHL provisions are an agreement that I have made ; I intend to keep them all.

Welcome! This is a great place to stay informed after you get your CHL ... I value reading the posts as much as I enjoy range practice.

Re: Afghans: Quran-burning soldiers to face trial

We, the United States, are invaders of their land - pure and simple. The Viet Namese didn't care much for the idea either.
Well said ... it's not about the burning of the Qurans.

Re: Afghans: Quran-burning soldiers to face trial

I think there is more here than meets the eye. Why would a group of people "go crazy" over the burning (or marking up) of a book when the book itself does not suggest that such acts are disrespectful. There is nothing in the Quran that mentions burning it or writing in it is a bad thing. T...

Re: Just picked up my first lever 30-30...

Just me ... but putting a scope on a lever action 30-30 is like putting a big windscreen on a dirt-bike ... but then again I'm partial to keeping it pretty simple when it comes to motorcycles and rifles. Congrats on your new purchase.

Re: Reds 100yds Indoor Range...,

I shoot (pistols) at Red's at both of their locations. I prefer the North (Pflugerville) location as the place is cleaner and the staff is more friendly. I like Red's because you can drop in and for $14.00/hr shoot in an air conditioned place. The ventilation is good too. I have purchased several gu...
