Re: Skype for Linux?
It's significantly better after using a registry cleaner, but still far from reliable. I may upgrade to 4GB of RAM even though it will on recognize 3GB. I was surprised to find that a Crucial 250GM SSD is compatible. It's available for only $99 and it would increase storage by 350%. I may go that r...

Re: Strange new Walmart ammo policy attributed to Open Carry
I purchased two boxes of 9mm at a Walmart in Plano on Saturday. As usual, I had to pay for it at the register in the sporting goods section. I also paid for all of my groceries there so I could skip the lines at the front. I was not escorted out, nor have I ever been. I was also OC'ing that day; I ...

Re: Houston TV news story
I think you may not find many people commenting on the gun because you sort of appear to be a LEO Detective by your clothing. I realize that is a stereo type to say they dress that way but the world is built on stereo types, whether people admit it or not. It is a good representation for the gun co...

Re: Pocket Carry: What Do You Do?
I have a Sig P238 and I am thinking about buying a pocket holster for it. My question is "how you pocket carry in blue jeans?" I have an iPhone that I don't want anything in the pocket with and and gun that I also don't want anything in the pocket with. What do you do about your knife, fl...

Re: Someone is going to be in trouble....
Almost worth printing up hundreds and giving them to MomsDemand or whoever is posting them without Business/Property Owner's permission :biggrinjester: :smilelol5: I thought about this the other day. I wish I had been smart enough to buy a domain and create a sign printing "company" and s...

Re: Condo complex posting 30.06 and 30.07
That's my understanding also (can't prohibit an owner). You OWN the property (co-own, in the case of common property). However, like having an employer, that doesn't mean that your board couldn't punish you for breaking the "rules", which an entirely different basket.. And HOAs (inc Condo...

Re: I now regret that OC passed
But you see what you did there, you stated that YOU will never OC, which is your prerogative, but maybe some of us will occasionally OC and if so, personally, I will adjust accordingly. But please, if you or anyone else choose to CC only, respect those of us who, on occasion, may OC. For what it's ...

Re: Filed a TX DPS SWATting report...
I don't even think fining them is enough. It should be a felony with a 5 year minumum sentence and life in prison if their recklessness causes the open carrier to get shot and killed. I'm normally for lowering the penalty for many crimes but not this one. if the call actually is considering swating...

Re: Filed a TX DPS SWATting report...
Some guy on FB claims to have a group harassing gun-folks in Texas: http://i63.tinypic.com/2lieal5.png I called DPS and let the lady know the details - she seemed pretty interested in the guy, so we'll see what happens. According to the news there have not been any calls reported so I'm going to ca...

Re: I now regret that OC passed
All of this was predictable. It was more than predict able . It was predict ed . And it came to pass. I don't have regrets about passage, but I DO have major regrets about people who carry and don't care what damage they do to the reputations of all of us. THAT is a huge regret. Pride goeth before ...

Re: I now regret that OC passed
Don't have buyer's remorse just yet. let people settle into it. the signs will slowly come down over the next year or two. When the crime statistics go down, when a LTC holder is a hero, when the OCT AR/AK wielders go away... things will get better. No that new Star Wars movie - that I regret... I ...

Re: I now regret that OC passed
It only took a week, but I'm now sorry that OC was passed. Maybe I'll change my mind after some time has passed, but right now I'm sick and tired of tons of threads complaining about signs. Before OC passed, there were ample warnings posted in this forum by many respected members that OC would chan...

Do you mean they have left an amended set of rules and one of the new rules indicates that you are not allowed to have guns on the complex property?
