The mere fact that we are arguing about what the law means tells you what you need to know. If you open carry in that situation, it's entirely possible that you could be arrested, charged and booked into jail. It's also possible you could be tried for the offense and have to pay a lawyer to defend you. It's not even clear that you would win. Given all that, it's your decision. You are the one who is put at risk. You are the one who would have to spend money should it go badly for you. No one else can make that decision for you, and no one else is going to help you pay for the lawyer if your decision goes badly.
