I didn't have a choice on where I was born. I'm one of those "got here as quick as I could" folks, and I'm damn proud to call myself a Texan today.

Mom often asks me when I'm moving back home to Louisiana. I respond by asking her when she's gonna bring Dad over here and learn why I love it so much.

I travel the world over, and when someone asks me where I'm from, I don't say "Louisiana", I say "Texas!" Like Bum said, everyone knows about Texas!

My spirit has lifted since I moved to Texas, and I certainly don't want to bring it down by moving back to where I was born and raised.
