But you should also consider US Army Corps of Engineers property which does not need to include a building. Many (most?) of the Texas lakes are under USACOE control. We have an RV and wish that we could stop at some of the lake campgrounds but they are off limits to us unless we leave our guns at home - something that I have no intention of doing. The interesting paradox is that the National Parks - minus the buildings - are not off limits. So I can carry in Yellowstone but not around Lake Grapevine.
