Well thanks to all the comments against it the rule change for CLEO sign off on Trusts has been delayed at least for another year. See the link I posted below. If you have a Trust and use the new E-form process the wait times are down to about 4 months right now. A friend that I work with just got a Form 1 SBR) and Form 4(Suppressor) approved right around 4 months. At least for now a Trust still seems to be the way to go. You can't file with the E-Form unless you have a Trust. The paper route is still taking about a year according to my dealer (Scott at Silenced America). I will be submitting a Form 1 for a SBR as soon as I can afford a lower and the $200 bucks to register it.

You are correct. I did a little more research and although the media reported it as a EO it is apparently not.Skiprr wrote:Could be wrong, but I don't think it's an executive order; I think it's a rule proposed by the BATFE, with the comment period ending, as you noted, on Monday: link to the Federal Register entry describing Docket No. ATF 41P.TheDude wrote:Because Obama just passed Executive Orders that now requires every member of the Trust to do fingerprints, pictures, and CLEO signoffs. By the time he gets a trust set up it will definitely be over and probably be policy.Syntax360 wrote:Why not just setup a trust?
I admit I really don't know much about this or all its ramifications. Haven't seen much discussion about it, either.
