In view of the fact that the NRA has put out a CTA, could OC be in trouble?

Charles, with your last post here you sure make me feel better and I would probably rarely OC. I just think we need to get something big. My first and best choice was HB 308 but I don't think that is going to fly this session.

I read an article in the Christian Science Monitor this morning re the Texas house passage of Licensed OC. Among other things, the article indicated that the legislature opted to require a special open-carry permit for which owners would have to apply. I don't recall seeing anything about a special open carry permit in SB17 or HB910 or amendments put forth on Fri. Did I miss something or what?

I keep seeing it may or will go back to the floor Fri. Somebody here late last week indicated that nothing usually gets done on Fri. because it is a travel day for the legs. that do not live in the close proximity to Austin.
