Re: where would a rifle be prohibited?
If I can't carry my handgun, I'm happy with a carrying a rifle concealed in a computer bag, briefcase, etc . which only gets displayed/used when shots come through the examination room door of the doctor's office and ... If Successful .... By the time the Police arrive I just have a carrying a rifl...

Re: where would a rifle be prohibited?
I find the topic of using an SBR as your EDC very interesting. At this point, over half of my life has been spent training with an AR and I'm much more comfortable and proficient with an AR than I am with any handgun. I've certainly been considering getting a backpack and using that as a way to conc...

Re: Schools, Churches, and CHLs
I was just reviewing the latest CHL codes and noticed section 46.035(b)(6) "(b) A license holder commits an offense if the license holder intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carries a handgun under the authority of Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, regardless of whether the handg...

Re: News conference: Plaxico and Paul "Brady" Helmke
Glad someone else posted this. Why wouldn't he work with the NRA to tell kids/adults about responsible gun ownership and gun safety? Really? The Brady Campaign? Ugh! I hope he signs with the Bengals or some other horrible NFL team. What a tool!

Re: And you wonder why we have a problem
In addition to all you have said, his blatant ignorance of self defense rights is astounding. The last quote from that Fox News story referenced above shows his obvious bias; "We're acting as judges. If we're going to decide everything on the basis of history -- by the way, what is the scope of...

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
Sadly, Sheriff Gillespie won re-election (65% vs 35%). Apparently the people of Clark County are perfectly happy with the high rate of officer involved shootings.

Re: November 2nd Election Returns
The problem for me is that the returns come in way too late at night. That's true. It will be hard for me to go to sleep not knowing the final outcome, but you can usually get a good idea of how things are going based on the early results. My worst nightmare would be to wake up and find out the dem...

Re: November 2nd Election Returns
The problem for me is that the returns come in way too late at night. You'd think we'd get faster results with all of the electronic voting machines. Having said that, I have no real idea how the use of the electronic voting machines impacts the "counting" of ballots. For that matter, does...

Re: Diana Maldonado doesn't "get it"
I live just south of her district and saw a bunch of people waving signs just outside of the early voting at Randalls. I had to use a good bit of self control to not poke at them about 2A and other problems with her candidacy.

Re: Voted today.....DID YOU!?
Voted yesterday afternoon. There were a few people at the polls but several open voting machines. The ballot was all candidates and no propositions that I got to vote "no" on. I was kind of surprised to see the number of Dem judges running unopposed.

Re: CHL holder killed by police in Las Vegas at a Costco
Evidently Costco's policy regarding the carrying of firearms is company wide. I'm not sure how that applies in Texas, where a 30:06 sign is required to forbid carrying. We all should know the answer to this. That can be their policy, but without a 30.06 (or a person in charge asking you to leave yo...
