Re: Cuban Missile Crisis
My dad was a SAC Missile Man outside of Little Rock at the time. His stories were hair raising about that short few days. During the height of tensions someone at NASA launched a primitive satellite going up the east coast. He said we almost did ourselves in on that one considering it looked as if t...

Re: AR Pistols/Arm Brace
Does the arm brace make a big difference in accuracy? I've seen them for the AR and the AK platforms.
I've been contemplating converting a Draco AK pistol with a wire under folder but if the arm brace helps, I may forgo the extra ATF hassle of getting the SBR stamp.

Re: A Tax-Free Holiday on firearms?
Just a thought, I believe we as Texans should be allowed to purchase firearms in the bordering 5 states and vis versa. I know of some great gun shops that I get to browse through because I'm not a resident of that state. Kinda like finding $99 mosins over the weekend and banging my head on the count...

Re: Pistol Gripped Shotgun Hunting
As pointed out - migratory... but you still run the risk of getting a closer inspection by a GW if hunting non-migratory. Maybe a citation and let the courts decide. For me personally - I wouldn't let you hunt with me cuz of my concern with wounding shooting with such a gun (lead, angle, and such)....

Pistol Gripped Shotgun Hunting
Can you hunt fowl in Texas with a pistol gripped shotgun? I'm not talking about a Cruiser type shotgun, I'm asking about hunting with a t6 stock and pistol grip with the appropriate plug. I noticed a Tri-Star semi auto shotgun with a normal looking butt stock+pistol grip and it really caught my eye....

Re: Went OWB Conceal Carry Today
I bought a fobus owb retention holster for my Taurus Millenium 9mm yesterday. I have to say that I agree with everyone else that has posted to this, it is the best way to carry so far as I am concerned. Iwill keep my tuckable handy for when I have to get "dressed".

Re: New EDC - Wife's Suggestion
After talking to several women that have been involved in confrontational shootings, none of them ever even noticed any type of recoil. One was a shooting involving a shotgun and the other involved a full size 357. Adrenaline has an amazing counter effect on weak wrists!!
