I find when I want to buy a wallet, I will spend 1/2 hour or more looking through various wallets. I know my wife hates that, so notify her before I go, so she can choose to go with me, knowing in advance my goal, or she can do her own thing!

I always get bi-fold, as tri-fold is thicker and uncomfortable

I consider:
will it fit my credit / debit / and other "member" cards (normally I get a wallet with at least 8 slots)?
is there a slot for my license to "flip" out of, or to be seen through a plastic section?
Does the license slide easily out of this section?
I do not get change holders, and absolutely hate when there is a divider in the money section.
I always test, will the money fit in there length and height. Believe it or not, I recently bought a wallet, and the money stuck out! just a smidge, but irritated me.
I always test, do credit cards actually fit in the slots, I have had them where once you put a card in one or 2 slots, you could not get a card in the 3rd or 4th slot.
