Got mine back today.

Dry firing feels good, bout the same as before.

Will try to get to the range this weekend and see how it feels live.

The trigger, during dry fire is slightly firmer than before. I am looking forward to going with teamless this weekend to break it in, again.

Oh they sent it back in a small black carring case, which had a sticker for an XD sc 40. Gave me a pause when I thought they may have sent the wrong gun to me. My xds with the extra mag was in there so I am happy again. :txflag:
you know, we go this Sunday to PSC, we may have to go next Sunday also!

When upgrades are finished on individual firearms, customers will receive a shipping notice and tracking information at the e-mail address they provided for the XD-S™ recall. And as a token of our appreciation for our customers' patience and support, we will also be enclosing an XD-S™ extended magazine with X-tension sleeve with each pistol we return.

There is a bit of info still missing, which I have just asked them about in email:
1 – How long will the repair take, - per gun?
2 – How do we know where our weapon is in the sequence of received guns, 1-500 received, 501-1500 received, etc.
3 – will you have some sort of “tracker” to know if you are currently in repair status of the 1-500, or 1501-3,000, etc?
4- how many have been received so far, this may encourage others who have not returned theirs yet, to know when they feel they should send theirs in, other than “they should do it now”, as many people I know of are keeping theirs until they get a feel for how long it will take.

Well I guess then my habit that I learned on my XD9, transferred subconsciously to the XDS as I always did depress the safety on the XDS when I racked it.

You have to depress the grip safety to rack the slide.
So unless there is a defect that allows you to rack the slide without depressing the safety, then it is a moot issue.

Unless that is the actual recall, the slide can be racked without the grip safety depressed

XD-S™ Upgrade Testing Very Near Completion

We last updated this site Friday, October 4, with the good news that we have found what we believe is the final solution for the XD-S™ upgrade and that we would be continuing exhaustive testing through the week.

We are very pleased to let you know that a large majority of the testing is complete and is going extremely well. We believe we are very close to being able to give our valued customers more specific information about when they can expect their XD-S™ pistols to be returned to them.

We will update this site again on Friday, October 11 and fully expect that we will have more great news to share. We are making final arrangements for upgrading the pistols that our customers returned to us.

In the meantime, please accept our heartfelt thanks for your patience, loyalty and support of Springfield Armory®. We remain fully committed to resolving this recall as quickly as possible and we are confident that you will be extremely pleased with your upgraded 3.3 XD-S™.
